Discovering Life, Learning and Leadership

Building a people-centered culture is a great way to enrich lives and make a difference in the world.  Our team at Creation Technologies has been doing this for 20 years and recently we have enjoyed celebrating our people and culture.

On April 5th, we held a great day of festivities across all our locations as we celebrated 20 years of tremendous accomplishments and recognized all the people who have made Creation the amazing company it is today.  I want to send my heartfelt thanks to each and every member of our Creation family for all their hard work, dedication and friendship.  The morning started with a webcast in which Geoff Reed, one of our founders and our Chairman, and I had a lot of fun journeying down memory lane.   Special thanks to Raegan Gibb and our entire IT team for making the webcast possible, and to Louise Van, Darren Chabot, Janelle Urchenko, Debbie Gillies and everyone who helped out across our locations to make it possible.

Shortly after sharing the webcast, I received the strangest tweet and it seems that Johnny Carson is now following me on Twitter!  Didn’t Johnny Carson pass away in 2005?  I had no idea that Twitter was so powerful!  As for the rumour that I am now auditioning to be the next Tonight Show host, I will be sticking with my day job.

Have I stirred your curiosity?  Here is the video of our 20th Anniversary webcast.  I hope you enjoy it as much as Geoff and I did.

Very good! Sometimes we can learn the most from movies:
    1. Stand and Deliver: the power of good teaching!
    2. Stand by Me: how wonderful children’s imaginations are!
    3. Mountains of the Moon: Life at its best is an adventure!

    Have an unusual day……
