Discovering Life, Learning and Leadership

We didn’t lose our daughter, we gained an outstanding son-in-law.

My wife Judy and I were so excited, together with over two hundred guests, to witness the marriage of our darling daughter Brittany to her Prince Charming, Jordan Pousett, on August 26, 2012.

The happy couple

Despite what Ashley Freedman, Matron of Honour, may try to tell you, I didn’t shed a single tear!  However, I did, somewhat unsuccessfully, try to induce Ashley to cry at the ceremony.

I could easily write over 12,000 words about the big day.  Instead, I will share 12 photos that our family took (“a picture is worth a thousand words”).

I love my girls:

Brittany and her mother, my wonderful wife Judy, at our home getting ready for the big day!

I might have a future as a bodyguard or in the secret service:

From left to right: Andrea Seaton, Brittany, Ashley Freedman, Judy and yours truly, the bodyguard!

The entire wedding party was extraordinary:

From left to right: Brendan Pousett, Andrea Seaton, Nathan Tymos, Angela Kennedy, Steve Pousett, Kaleigh Pousett, Taylor Swindells, Ashley Freedman, Brittany & Jordan

Check out those shoes – no flip flops despite years of predictions to the contrary:

Arm full of love

We are so blessed with awesome children:

Brittany with her brothers Nathan and Matthew

Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire day:

One of the highlights of the day for me personally, was walking my little princess (not so little anymore) down the aisle:

A delightful walk down the aisle with my princess

The ceremony was held in such a beautiful place:

Returning to the ceremony garden after signing the registry and sharing communion in the gazebo

At the end of the loving and God-honouring ceremony, it was time for the big introduction:

Introducing, for the first time ever, Mr. & Mrs. Jordan & Brittany Pousett

Waterfalls and ponds created a serene ambience for the ceremony:

A beautiful setting for a beautiful couple

Our daughter took our advice as she savoured and enjoyed every moment of their special day:

It was clearly the most special day and a highlight of our entire summer.  Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Jordan & Brittany Pousett on their recent marriage!

Do you like weddings?  Have you been to any lately?  What was your highlight this summer?

    Arthur,
Great to see you paving the way ahead for the rest of us. Not sure I will be able to not shed the tear though. Congratulations to the lovely couple – somewhat reminds one of how young some of us where when embarking on a life together – no regrets though it is a wonderful journey of discovery and growth. You and Judy must be very proud!
